The software on the PC side has a nice UI, and is easy to use and follow, as is the software on the tablet. Combine that with a USB 2 cable, then it would be a nightmare. This could be why a lot of people are having problems, as integrated graphics will struggle, especially if you have older hardware. This is of course if getting less than 60fps constantly is unplayable for you. Settings the performance in the app alongside dropping the resolution still gets the same GPU usage. The GPU usage doesn't scale, meaning, if you lower the resolution displayed on the tablet, the GPU usage still remains high, so I suspect that there could be some tweaking left to do with the PC server. Minecraft with shaders turned on drops the frames from 60+fps to 40+fps. This makes it difficult to recommend for using it as a secondary monitor to watch video on whilst gaming, as it causes your frames to drop significantly, depending on the graphical requirements of the game.
The only issue is that it does use a lot of your GPU processing power, with usage sitting at 50%+. Watching YouTube or Netflix this way is also very good. Using it with USB-C, which is USB 3, gives smooth playback, with very little input lag. Installing the software and configuring it on the PC was easy and straight forward.
